The somewhat iconic Village Markets has built up quite a name for itself, touted as the creative hub for a careful selection of budding entrepreneurs. This is not your typical market. You won’t find tacky souvenirs, cheap imported fashion, or fluorescent crochet teapot covers here. Instead, you’ll be stepping inside a boutique fashion and lifestyle market, featuredin Collective Hub Magazine and rated by Lonely Planet as one of the top 3 spots to visit on the Gold Coast.
On the verge of a breakthrough
Strolling through the stalls you’ll notice the quality of the stalls. Each has passed a rigorous selection process to earn the privilege of showcasing their creations at TVM. From high quality and unique boutique fashion, to pre-loved designer and vintage finds, original art, eco friendly and unique lifestyle finds, and a whole lot of good vibes.
Some very well known labels started off here before they “made it” including Kivari, Peonie Swimwear, and Children of the Tribe. You’ll love seeing what you can find in the 100+ stalls that line the Burleigh Heads State School oval.
Good vibes
There’s really nothing quite like the cruisy atmosphere at the Village Markets. With live music, delicious offerings from incredible food vendors, you can pull up a picnic blanket on the grass and completely immerse yourself.
The eco friendly and sustainable offerings are a real draw card for many, with the push for environmentally friendly options, natural beauty products, and sustainable living lifestyle choices becoming more and more prominent.
Visitors can pick up print, browse original artworks and photography, find incredible handmade jewellery, gifts, and home grown delights such as relish, jams, sauces and gourmet goods. The baby and kidswear is an absolute delight, and such a far cry from the stock standard fashion choices in shopping centres.
You can pick up fresh flowers and plants, candles and stationary, furniture and accessories. There’s really no limit to the variety and quality you’ll find at the Village Markets. Unique finds really are just a matter of spending a Sunday morning exploring.
